COMMUNITY ACTION DIALOGUESDialogue as an Invitation to Action |
We welcome you to join us in building a foundation of dialogue for communities. With easy access to dialogue, people with common concerns, passions, and interests can come together, engage in dialogue and take action. We value dialogue as one of the paths to a more just, inclusive, peaceful, compassionate and sustainable world. We believe in the exponential power of effective action coming from reflection and collective wisdom expressed in group dialogue. We hope you will enjoy the variety of resources for deepening dialogue.
An action dialogue is based on the foundation of traditional dialogue models. It further invites participants, without any pressure, to take action if they are moved to do so. At the end of the dialogue, participants are asked to share actions they have taken or intend to take as it relates to the topic discussed. The process also serves to promote awareness of local organizations working on issues related to the topic. Action dialogues then act as a connecting point to bring individuals and organizations together who share the same interests and might not have otherwise come into contact.

'Netherlandish Proverbs' by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, 1559
In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.
